These are the same instructions from step 4 of the Account Creation page. If you have any issues throughout this process, please refer to our FAQ for additional guidance.
Because the Stelter Intelligence Center contains your donors’ personally identifiable information, we require multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect your donor data. This is in addition to any MFA methods for your organization or personal account.
To choose one of the three MFA options for the Stelter Intelligence Center, click on:
“I want to set up a different method” (in the bottom left) to be sent a text message code to your phone. This is typically the easiest method.
“Download now” or “Next” if you already downloaded the Microsoft Authenticator app. This is an option for smartphone users that is quick and easy to use.
“I want to use a different authenticator app”. This option is if you prefer to use your own authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, Duo, Authy or others. Your own organization’s IT administrator may need to assist you with issues related to your own authentication app.
If you selected “I want to set up a different method”
You will see a popup that allows you to choose “Phone”. You can then choose “Text me a code” to use your mobile phone or “Call me” if you need to use a non-mobile phone. Fill in your phone number and complete the MFA request:
If you selected “Download now” or “Next” to use the Microsoft Authenticator App
Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from your mobile app store (Apple, Google).
Open the app on your phone. Depending on the version of the app you have, either select the plus icon or click on the three dots in the top right and choose Add account. If you don't have any accounts set up in the app yet, you might instead see a large blue button that says Add account. If you previously set up an Intelligence Center account with Authenticator and see it listed in your app, please first delete it by clicking on the Stelter Intelligence Center account, then click the gear icon in the top right, followed by Remove account. After choosing to add an account, select Work or school account, followed by Scan a QR Code.
Using the app, move your phone so the QR Code on the website is in the middle of the app’s framing box. If you aren't prompted to use your camera to scan a QR Code, in your phone's settings, ensure that the Authenticator app has access to the phone camera.
